A very good chance for a goal. 5 minutes into the match, Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s goal looked a bit too open when Valério Vilaça came free, but Qiu Chuan Ran reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bernardo Leiria showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodolfo Faria in the 7th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Gonzalo Lixandro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bernardo Leiria was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. In the 19th minute Gonzalo Lixandro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernardo Leiria saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bernardo Leiria took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gonzalo Lixandro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. SLB TELHA's Valério Vilaça got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 23rd minute of the match, Gonzalo Lixandro tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Bernardo Leiria saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Qiu Chuan Ran took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valério Vilaça, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 27 minutes into the match, SLB TELHA's goal looked a bit too open when Kaspar Bruns came free, but Bernardo Leiria reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bernardo Leiria made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gonzalo Lixandro in the 28th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s Gonzalo Lixandro slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Bernardo Leiria. That made the score 1-0 after 30 minutes of play. After 34 minutes SLB TELHA's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Kaspar Bruns who took care of the corner kick. Alexandre Barbosa charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alexandre Barbosa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. SLB TELHA's Bernardo Leiria proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save SLB TELHA from getting a goal against them. Raimundo Ventura received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Bernardo Leiria came out and tried to block the shot, but Raimundo Ventura slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 38th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulo Bezerra in the 42nd minute of play forced Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s goalkeeper Qiu Chuan Ran to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Gonzalo Lixandro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Bernardo Leiria showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gonzalo Lixandro in the 64th minute of the match. When the match clock showed 65 minutes, the score became 3-1 when Raimundo Ventura sped through SLB TELHA's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Bernardo Leiria. Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s Claudemiro Madureira was substituted for Israel Carvalhal. After 70 played minutes SLB TELHA got a freekick which was hit by Giancarlo Furlan. Qiu Chuan Ran made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valério Vilaça in the 77th minute of play. 78 minutes had been played when some careless play by Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. João Assunção was slow to take the kick. During this time SLB TELHA's players had a chance to rest. When Valério Vilaça fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SLB TELHA's protests and gave Valério Vilaça a yellow card for diving instead. In the 82nd match minute, SLB TELHA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Ribas to maneuver through the defense. In the 85th minute, SLB TELHA's Valério Vilaça dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-2. Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s Qiu Chuan Ran proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save Sporting Clube V.R.S.A. from getting a goal against them.
