Spectators: 42 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Jacobo Venerando started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 3 minutes into the match, União Sport Clube Paredes's goal looked a bit too open when Jacobo Venerando came free, but Edwin van der Sar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 6th minute, Jacobo Venerando ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Edwin van der Sar was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 16 minutes into the match, União Sport Clube Paredes's goal looked a bit too open when Laércio Resende came free, but Edwin van der Sar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 16th minute, Laércio Resende left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Madvik FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. After a defensive mix-up in União Sport Clube Paredes's zone, Jacobo Venerando stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edwin van der Sar came out of the goal and Jacobo Venerando tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Carles Olle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jerónimo Furtado, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. A collision led to Madvik FC getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Adelino Galvão hit a great ball. 29 minutes into the match, União Sport Clube Paredes's goal looked a bit too open when Jacobo Venerando came free, but Edwin van der Sar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jacobo Venerando's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edwin van der Sar read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. If Jacobo Venerando had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 41 minutes into the game, Lourenço Gomes threw the ball into play from the sideline. Madvik FC's Valdemar Fontoura quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. União Sport Clube Paredes's Edwin van der Sar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jacobo Venerando in the 46th minute of play. 47 minutes had been played when some careless play by União Sport Clube Paredes's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gaspar Veloso was slow to take the kick. During this time Madvik FC's players had a chance to rest. Madvik FC's Adelino Galvão was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Edwin van der Sar in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in.

Madvik FC made a substitution. Pedro Teves replaced Laércio Resende. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jerónimo Furtado to strike the kick off in the second half. Tobias Pinho hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Lucílio Vilanova was extremely unlucky when he, in the 56th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Tobias Pinho kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Lucílio Vilanova's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edwin van der Sar read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 64th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lucílio Vilanova in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edwin van der Sar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. União Sport Clube Paredes's Edwin van der Sar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucílio Vilanova in the 68th minute of play. In the 69th minute, Lucílio Vilanova reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Edwin van der Sar. The goal made the score 0-3. When Lucílio Vilanova came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Madvik FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lucílio Vilanova couldn't finish the play. Lucílio Vilanova received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Edwin van der Sar came out and tried to block the shot, but Lucílio Vilanova slotted it home off the left post making it 0-4 in the 79th minute. A collision led to União Sport Clube Paredes getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Horia Taşcu hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 84 minutes, Lucílio Vilanova took a quick shot and it went in 0-5 without a chance for Edwin van der Sar to make any attempt to save it. Madvik FC's Lucílio Vilanova got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 88 minutes into the match, União Sport Clube Paredes's goal looked a bit too open when Lucílio Vilanova came free, but Edwin van der Sar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dabi Saens recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alexandre Santana in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Carles Olle saved Madvik FC from getting behind. In the 96th minute of the match Madvik FC got a corner. União Sport Clube Paredes's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Pedro Teves ran over to the corner to take the kick. Tobias Pinho was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. The Madvik FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Madvik FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
