With an extended leg and a bit of luck Januário Rangel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 14 minutes into the match, Academia Monte Gordo's Fabrício Lustosa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Januário Rangel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ricardo Guerra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 28th minute Fabrício Lustosa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Januário Rangel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mao Zhen Hong made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ricardo Guerra in the 31st minute. After a defensive mix-up in Academia Monte Gordo's zone, Ricardo Guerra stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mao Zhen Hong came out of the goal and Ricardo Guerra tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ricardo Guerra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Mao Zhen Hong tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Januário Rangel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabrício Lustosa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind MEXACOMX's goalkeeper Januário Rangel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 45th minute, one of MEXACOMX:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for MEXACOMX.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fabrício Lustosa to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Aang 张飞 threw the ball into play from the sideline. Academia Monte Gordo's Luciano Tiso quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind MEXACOMX's goalkeeper Januário Rangel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Ricardo Guerra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. MEXACOMX's Wu Liang Mo managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Codrin Zamfira in the 60 minute of the game. Academia Monte Gordo's Mao Zhen Hong played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Giannis Kouretzis in the 61st minute of play. MEXACOMX's Tomás Jordão was substituted for Ricardo Guerra. In the 63rd minute of the match MEXACOMX got a corner. Academia Monte Gordo's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Julio-César Romo-Leroux ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Fryderyk Gierlach almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Academia Monte Gordo's Mao Zhen Hong did a great save. In the 64th match minute, Academia Monte Gordo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christian Westerstrand to maneuver through the defense. Academia Monte Gordo's Mao Zhen Hong played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomás Jordão in the 65th minute of play. After 66 minutes Academia Monte Gordo's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Julio-César Romo-Leroux who took care of the corner kick. Christian Westerstrand's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Januário Rangel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. Academia Monte Gordo made a substitution. Pascual Mouricio replaced Arana Ponta. If Tomás Jordão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind MEXACOMX's goalkeeper Januário Rangel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Mao Zhen Hong showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomás Jordão in the 89th minute of the match. With a little luck, MEXACOMX's Januário Rangel got control of the ball when Christian Westerstrand tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 92 played minutes Academia Monte Gordo got a freekick which was hit by Luciano Tiso. The Academia Monte Gordo supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Academia Monte Gordo would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
