In the 4th minute of the game Angelo Pessoa made a throw-in which Roberto Tinoco played forward. After having played for 4 minutes, Roberto Tinoco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AM United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Roberto Tinoco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ni Guang Yong came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by AM United's Angelo Pessoa. But to his dismay, Angelo Pessoa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After 17 played minutes AM United got a freekick which was hit by Roberto Tinoco. AM United's David Bastos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Imre Hellinger in the 22nd minute of play. David Bastos made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Sílvio Luís Ceresso sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sílvio Luís Ceresso got free with David Bastos in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Pinhote FC's Ni Guang Yong played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teodoro Freire in the 27th minute of play. 29 minutes into the match, AM United's goalkeeper David Bastos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sílvio Luís Ceresso. Pierre-Olivier Ortiz hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Angelo Pessoa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Ni Guang Yong tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 39 minutes into the match, AM United's goal looked a bit too open when Imre Hellinger came free, but David Bastos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Pinhote FC's Bart Buckinx got a free kick in the 41st minute. In the 42nd minute Angelo Pessoa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ni Guang Yong saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 45th minute, Angelo Pessoa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The AM United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Miguel Rodríguez stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Angelo Pessoa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. David Bastos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Imre Hellinger, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. David Bastos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sílvio Luís Ceresso in the 57th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sílvio Luís Ceresso in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg David Bastos saved AM United from getting behind. Miguel Rodríguez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. David Bastos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Imre Hellinger, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ni Guang Yong showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teodoro Freire, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. David Bastos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miguel Rodríguez in the 83rd minute of play. The AM United players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
