In the 27thth minute of the game Domingos Lencastre who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but F.C. Paços de Ferreira's Miguel Poças was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. José Bomba could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Samuel Fiúza made a huge save. Domingos Lencastre's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Miguel Poças read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. Miguel Poças took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Domingos Lencastre, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 38 minutes into the game, Hong Xi Bin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Samuel Fiúza was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 42 minutes into the match, F.C. Paços de Ferreira's goal looked a bit too open when Domingos Lencastre came free, but Miguel Poças reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gremio Viana's Samuel Fiúza proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Gremio Viana from getting a goal against them. In the 49th minute F.C. Paços de Ferreira were awarded a corner. Igor Tudor went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Igor Tudor got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Samuel Fiúza quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Domingos Lencastre was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Gremio Viana's 韩轩建 got a free kick in the 62nd minute. 65 minutes into the match, Gremio Viana's goal looked a bit too open when José Bomba came free, but Samuel Fiúza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to F.C. Paços de Ferreira getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Igor Tudor hit a great ball. The corner led Gremio Viana's 韩轩建 to fire away a dangerous shot which Miguel Poças despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Miguel Poças was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Domingos Lencastre showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 75 minute of play. F.C. Paços de Ferreira's Fabrício Travassos was substituted for João Maia. F.C. Paços de Ferreira's Bóas Pernas was substituted for Saúl Zambujal. After a rather tough play, Gremio Viana's Isidoro Cordera got a free kick in the 80th minute. Gremio Viana's Joaquim Paredes was substituted for Domingos Lencastre. The supporters of F.C. Paços de Ferreira booed when Gremio Viana was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isidoro Cordera didn't get a good kick on the ball. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Miguel Poças prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to F.C. Paços de Ferreira getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Nicolae Hoisie hit a great ball. After some careless play in the F.C. Paços de Ferreira defense, Joaquim Paredes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Miguel Poças. The F.C. Paços de Ferreira fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Miguel Poças should have stopped the shot.
