David Bastos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cassiano Brochado in the 10th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 12 minutes, Angelo Pessoa took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Laureano Rijo to make any attempt to save it. Laureano Rijo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Angelo Pessoa in the 20th minute. Angelo Pessoa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Laureano Rijo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 28th minute, Cassiano Brochado ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. David Bastos was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Jonas Garcia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Bastos having to interfere. In the 32nd minute, Jonas Garcia made a precise shot to the right of David Bastos. AM United's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teodoro Freire in the 35th minute of play forced A.D.ESMOJÃES's goalkeeper Laureano Rijo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 35th minute, Teodoro Freire ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Laureano Rijo was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Angelo Pessoa's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Laureano Rijo firmly grabbed it by the left post. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jonas Garcia to strike the kick off in the second half. David Bastos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonas Garcia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eduardo Bulhosa scored 2-3 in the 55th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of David Bastos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. David Bastos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eduardo Bulhosa's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Angelo Pessoa in the 89th minute of play forced A.D.ESMOJÃES's goalkeeper Laureano Rijo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 90th minute of the match AM United got a corner. A.D.ESMOJÃES's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jorge Morais ran over to the corner to take the kick. Laureano Rijo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angelo Pessoa in the 92nd minute of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched A.D.ESMOJÃES eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
