The supporters of Pinhote FC booed when F.C. Paços de Ferreira was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Bomba didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when José Bomba got free with Ni Guang Yong in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. José Bombas short, quick shot in the 30thth minute got Ni Guang Yong to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. José Bomba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Saúl Zambujal was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 40 minutes into the match. After 40 played minutes F.C. Paços de Ferreira got a freekick which was hit by Saúl Zambujal. When Imre Hellinger came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Pinhote FC fans jumped to their feet. Paços de Ferreira's defense didn't have a chance, in the 72nd minute, when Sílvio Luís Ceresso scored to the left of an out of position Miguel Poças, making the score, 0-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sílvio Luís Ceresso in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Miguel Poças saved F.C. Paços de Ferreira from getting behind. In the 79th minute the ball was on its way in behind F.C. Paços de Ferreira's goalkeeper Miguel Poças, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Sílvio Luís Ceresso succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-2 in the 79th playminute. Ni Guang Yong made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Bomba in the 82nd minute of play. Gualter Távora might have been able to make a better finish in the 91st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Miguel Poças. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gualter Távora ran back to his position shaking his head. 92 minutes into the game, Inácio Secco cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Ni Guang Yong was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
