Jürgen Behnke had several of the Academica Pulheim's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 29 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-1 score and a disappointed Paul Heyckendorf as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 33rd minute Kurt Ahrem shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafael Heintz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 35th minute, Jürgen Behnke got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kurt Ahrem in the 40th minute of play forced TSV Delliehausen's goalkeeper Rafael Heintz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Menelaos Markos ran back to his position shaking his head. 52 minutes into the match, Academica Pulheim's goal looked a bit too open when Linus Mattes came free, but Paul Heyckendorf reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind Academica Pulheim's goalkeeper Paul Heyckendorf, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jean-Marc Debut kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. TSV Delliehausen's Rafael Heintz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gary Lineker in the 71st minute of play. Paul Heyckendorf breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. TSV Delliehausen's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
