Don Merlot could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 6th minute of the match, but Rafael Heintz made a huge save. SSV Ulm 1846's attentive Afonso Silveira managed to snatch the ball when Frank-Ulrich Trenner made a throw-in in the 16th minute of the game. 17 minutes into the match, SSV Ulm 1846's Don Merlot sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rafael Heintz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Rafael Heintz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Don Merlot, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Don Merlot could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Rafael Heintz made a huge save. Thanks to some nice moves Don Merlot could shoot a difficult shot in the 22nd minute, which Rafael Heintz however easily saved by the left post. Timo Courtois showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jean-Marc Debut, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Frank-Ulrich Trenner made in the 28th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by SSV Ulm 1846's Alex Kopf. Timo Courtois took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Linus Mattes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when SSV Ulm 1846's Alberigo Sessa in the 37th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Rafael Heintz was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for TSV Delliehausen through an amazing save. In the 38th minute SSV Ulm 1846 were awarded a corner. Sven-Olof Lilja went to the cornerflag to take it. SSV Ulm 1846's Wolfgang Goethe was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Rafael Heintz in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Timo Courtois took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jean-Marc Debut, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rafael Heintz was a little too slow when Delmiro Jayvier got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 42nd minute. The score was now 2-0. In the 45thth minute of the game Huang Hong Gang who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SSV Ulm 1846's Timo Courtois was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 57th minute, Jarkko Loikala hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alberigo Sessa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Rafael Heintz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. TSV Delliehausen's Rafael Heintz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Don Merlot in the 61st minute of play. Huang Hong Gang came free with the goalkeeper in the 68th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Timo Courtois could save by the left post. In the 69th minute Don Merlot shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafael Heintz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sven-Olof Lilja hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, SSV Ulm 1846's Sven-Olof Lilja got a free kick in the 78th minute. Rafael Heintz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Don Merlot in the 80th minute of play. 81 minutes into the game, SSV Ulm 1846's Alberigo Sessa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rafael Heintz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. If Huang Hong Gang had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 87 minutes into the match, SSV Ulm 1846's goalkeeper Timo Courtois had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Huang Hong Gang. After 92 minutes of play, SSV Ulm 1846's Alberigo Sessa made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rafael Heintz was left in no man's land by his defense there! Huang Hong Gang sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. SSV Ulm 1846 were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of TSV Delliehausen for a fine match.
