The supporters of Hannover Reds booed when Flatline Zombies was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Finn Neeser didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hannover Reds's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Lei Xiang Rong in the 7th minute. The corner led Hannover Reds's Raoul Kreibisch to fire away a dangerous shot which Armağan Mukremin despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Bernd Yuschni took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulo Seco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Willi Tilmann in the 16th minute of play forced Flatline Zombies's goalkeeper Armağan Mukremin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Flatline Zombies's Paulo Seco in the 18th minute got a chance for a shot 18th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Paulo Seco stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Peppone Simmen scored 0-1 in the 76th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bernd Yuschni, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Levent Erkinay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Bernd Yuschni tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 83rd minute, Flatline Zombies's Paulo Seco dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-2. With a little luck, Hannover Reds's Bernd Yuschni got control of the ball when Liborius Müller tried to sneak it across the goal line. Lars Voss scored 1-2 in the 88th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Armağan Mukremin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 94th minute, Flatline Zombies's Peppone Simmen ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Bernd Yuschni. Bernd Yuschni yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Flatline Zombies eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
