Hannover Reds's Lei Xiang Rong got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 37 minutes into the match, Hamburg Fighters's goal looked a bit too open when Emilio Argina came free, but Pavlos Konstantakakis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pavlos Konstantakakis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lars Voss, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Hannover Reds's Raoul Kreibisch got a free kick in the 46th minute. When Dinu Bocu came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Hamburg Fighters fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dinu Bocu couldn't finish the play. The Hannover Reds players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Hamburg Fighters were winning 0-2.

Markus Thalberg kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Dinu Bocu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After taking down the ball on Hannover Reds's corner Lei Xiang Rong fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Pavlos Konstantakakis quite easily take care of the ball. Hannover Reds were awarded a corner in the 63th minute after Hamburg Fighters's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Lei Xiang Rong took the corner. Lars Voss made a great header on Hannover Reds's corner, it was just that Hamburg Fighters's Pavlos Konstantakakis managed to reach the ball for a save. The corner ended in Lei Xiang Rong almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Hamburg Fighters's Pavlos Konstantakakis did a great save. Pavlos Konstantakakis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emilio Argina, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Gianluca Balla's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 87thth minute, Bernd Yuschni skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After a rather tough play, Hannover Reds's Raoul Kreibisch got a free kick in the 96th minute.
