The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 9th minute Ovidiu Poenaru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucrețiu Brătescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wellington Nóbrega recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 13th minute, Matthieu Richardot made a precise shot to the right of Lucrețiu Brătescu. VfL Bad Nenndorf's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. In the 18th minute Róbert Štriker shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gerold Zollt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. DJK Füchtel Vechta's Gerold Zollt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Themis Papadimoulis in the 22nd minute of play. Lucrețiu Brătescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ovidiu Poenaru in the 25th minute of the match. Themis Papadimoulis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Gerold Zollt made a huge save. 34 minutes into the match, DJK Füchtel Vechta's goal looked a bit too open when Róbert Štriker came free, but Gerold Zollt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 38th minute, Wellington Nóbrega left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The DJK Füchtel Vechta fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. DJK Füchtel Vechta's Gerold Zollt proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save DJK Füchtel Vechta from getting a goal against them. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ovidiu Poenaru was the one to do the kick off. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. DJK Füchtel Vechta walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
