After a rather tough play, DJK Füchtel Vechta's Gerald Abd el Farrag got a free kick in the 13th minute. Lionel Paly showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ovidiu Poenaru in the 16th minute of the match. Gerold Zollt had great luck who in the 17thth minute grab hold of the ball when Tory Pryor from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. In the 19th minute, Wellington Nóbrega hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 23 minutes had been played when some careless play by DJK Füchtel Vechta's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Tory Pryor was slow to take the kick. During this time FC Wil 1900's players had a chance to rest. FC Wil 1900's Bernhard Zollinger was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Gerold Zollt in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Lionel Paly stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Matthieu Richardot's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. Lionel Paly made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ovidiu Poenaru in the 29th minute of play. In the 30th minute DJK Füchtel Vechta were awarded a corner. Mauro Galvão went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on DJK Füchtel Vechta's corner Ovidiu Poenaru fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Lionel Paly quite easily take care of the ball. In the 34th minute Téo Rosa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gerold Zollt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 36thth minute of the game Tory Pryor who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but DJK Füchtel Vechta's Gerold Zollt was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ovidiu Poenaru kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Lionel Paly took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ovidiu Poenaru, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, DJK Füchtel Vechta's Gerold Zollt got control of the ball when Pirmin Jäggi tried to sneak it across the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ovidiu Poenaru to strike the kick off in the second half. Ovidiu Poenaru could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Lionel Paly made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as DJK Füchtel Vechta's Ovidiu Poenaru slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Lionel Paly. That made the score 1-1 after 65 minutes of play. Lionel Paly made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Ovidiu Poenaru sent off a good shot on target. In the 70th minute DJK Füchtel Vechta were awarded a corner. Mauro Galvão went to the cornerflag to take it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matthieu Richardot in the 71st minute of play forced FC Wil 1900's goalkeeper Lionel Paly to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gerold Zollt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Téo Rosa in the 72nd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Matthieu Richardot managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lionel Paly breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 79 minutes into the match, DJK Füchtel Vechta's goal looked a bit too open when Pirmin Jäggi came free, but Gerold Zollt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gerold Zollt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Téo Rosa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, DJK Füchtel Vechta's Rea Selbert got a free kick in the 86th minute. Marcus Terstappen lost his temper 89 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 89th minute of the game. One of DJK Füchtel Vechta:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of FC Wil 1900:s goal. After a rather tough play, FC Wil 1900's Tory Pryor got a free kick in the 98th minute.
