A collision led to SSV Ulm 1846 getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Alex Kopf hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Don Merlot got free with Cosmo Abegg in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Timo Courtois showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Peter Esterházy, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. In the 14th minute, Don Merlot got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jakob Lenz made in the 17th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by SSV Ulm 1846's Alex Kopf. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Peter Esterházy managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ulfa FSV's supporters rose to their feet, but Peter Esterházy was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Timo Courtois breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Timo Courtois came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by Ulfa FSV's Thomas Bernhard. But to his dismay, Thomas Bernhard quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Cosmo Abegg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Don Merlot in the 28th minute. Timo Courtois took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Peter Esterházy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Ulfa FSV's Peter Esterházy in the 31st minute got a chance for a shot 31st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SSV Ulm 1846's goalie prevented a goal. Cosmo Abegg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberigo Sessa, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. In the 34th minute SSV Ulm 1846 were awarded a corner. Sven-Olof Lilja went to the cornerflag to take it. Don Merlot's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 35thth minute, Cosmo Abegg skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 37 minutes into the match, Ulfa FSV's goal looked a bit too open when Don Merlot came free, but Cosmo Abegg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Don Merlot was the one to do the kick off. Sven-Olof Lilja kicked well hit freekick during the 50th minute of the match. Alberigo Sessa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Cosmo Abegg came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by SSV Ulm 1846's Don Merlot. But to his dismay, Don Merlot quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Cosmo Abegg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Don Merlot, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Cosmo Abegg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberigo Sessa in the 62nd minute of play. 64 minutes into the match, Ulfa FSV's goal looked a bit too open when Alberigo Sessa came free, but Cosmo Abegg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 69th minute, Karl Valentin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 71st minute Alberigo Sessa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cosmo Abegg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alberigo Sessa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cosmo Abegg having to interfere. In the 81st minute Don Merlot shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cosmo Abegg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ulfa FSV made a substitution. Felix Umbach replaced Peter Esterházy. Cosmo Abegg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberigo Sessa in the 87th minute of the match. In the 91st minute, Alberigo Sessa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SSV Ulm 1846 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. SSV Ulm 1846 were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Ulfa FSV for a fine match.
