Olaf Geiger made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After a rather tough play, Ulfa FSV's Karl Valentin got a free kick in the 36th minute. Ulfa FSV's Cosmo Abegg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Ulfa FSV from getting a goal against them. Zlatko Ibrahimović succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-1 in the 39th playminute. 47 minutes into the match, Fire Devils's goal looked a bit too open when Peter Esterházy came free, but Olaf Geiger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

Peter Esterházy really showed his touch with that goal: 3-2. Olaf Geiger showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Friedrich Hölderlin in the 81st minute of the match. Olaf Geiger made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Peter Esterházy sent off a good shot on target. Ulfa FSV made a substitution. Franz Neumann replaced Peter Esterházy. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Zlatko Ibrahimović managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fire Devils's supporters rose to their feet, but Zlatko Ibrahimović was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cosmo Abegg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Zlatko Ibrahimović might have been able to make a better finish in the 94th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cosmo Abegg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zlatko Ibrahimović ran back to his position shaking his head.
