A nice corner shot did that Marcellus Walpert got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Marcel Mallinger quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Patrick Knechtli made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when Steffen Eisenheld sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Olympique Fribourg getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Daniel Schroeder hit a great ball. 9 minutes into the match, Olympique Fribourg's goal looked a bit too open when Steffen Eisenheld came free, but Patrick Knechtli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Medero Gadea fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Olympique Fribourg's protests and gave Medero Gadea a yellow card for diving instead. Olympique Fribourg's Patrick Knechtli proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Olympique Fribourg from getting a goal against them. FV Wienerwald's Steffen Eisenheld shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 21st minute of play. The shot was stopped by Patrick Knechtli but with some difficulty. Patrick Knechtli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anfilogino Alfonsi in the 22nd minute of play. Patrick Knechtli was a little too slow when Ralf Szüczs got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 24th minute. The score was now 1-0. Olympique Fribourg's Patrick Knechtli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ralf Szüczs in the 27th minute of play. In the 28th minute Raik Topuz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcel Mallinger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FV Wienerwald's Marcel Mallinger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Téo Savion in the 31st minute of play. The supporters of Olympique Fribourg booed when FV Wienerwald was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andreas Trautermann didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Steffen Eisenheld came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the FV Wienerwald fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Steffen Eisenheld couldn't finish the play. Daniel Schroeder hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. When Anfilogino Alfonsi came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the FV Wienerwald fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anfilogino Alfonsi couldn't finish the play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Anfilogino Alfonsi to strike the kick off in the second half. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Patrick Knechtli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ziemowit Fleszar in the 70th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in FV Wienerwald's zone, Téo Savion stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcel Mallinger came out of the goal and Téo Savion tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. FV Wienerwald made a substitution. Felix Hanschirik replaced Ziemowit Fleszar. When FV Wienerwald's Pankracy Pilitowski in the 76th minute got a chance for a shot 76th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Olympique Fribourg's goalie prevented a goal. The FV Wienerwald fans' excitement grew in the 81st match minute when FV Wienerwald's Per Nienhaus looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Patrick Knechtli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ralf Szüczs in the 85th minute of the match. 87 minutes into the game, Per Nienhaus cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Patrick Knechtli was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 92nd minute, Fabio Poffet hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 92 minutes into the match, Olympique Fribourg's goal looked a bit too open when Pankracy Pilitowski came free, but Patrick Knechtli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
