Andriy Lunin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Percival Costa in the 17th minute of play. A throw-in in the 19th minute of the game was made by Lionel 柯景亦 with Oskar Vahlberg as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. After 27 minutes of play, SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s David Elodio made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Andriy Lunin made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Nichifor Borăscu sent off a good shot on target. In the 38th match minute, SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eustaquio Brufau to maneuver through the defense. Percival Costa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Andriy Lunin having to make a save. 47 minutes into the game, International Thunders's Percival Costa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Andriy Lunin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. International Thunders made a substitution. Loukianos Staikos replaced Percival Costa. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Nichifor Borăscu made the kick off in the second half. Andriy Lunin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 冯亦思, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Henning Fink hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. International Thunders's Rouven Nussli proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save International Thunders from getting a goal against them. Henning Fink didn't get a good kick on the ball. SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s Siegfried Danielzick was substituted for Eustaquio Brufau. SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s Niculae Ungureanu was substituted for David Elodio. After 97 played minutes SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. got a freekick which was hit by Henning Fink. SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
