Spectators: 47 (Terracing: 36, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. After a rather tough play, Espen Steelers's Alberto Giacometti got a free kick in the 19th minute. Federico Abud made in the 23rd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Raffaelo Berger. Gregor Kobel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ödön Szily in the 24th minute of play. Andriy Lunin made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Rogelio Montez sent off a good shot on target. When the match clock showed 31 minutes, the score became 0-1 when David Elodio sped through Espen Steelers's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Gregor Kobel. In the 41st minute, David Elodio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. With his leg Andriy Lunin managed to avoid a goal in the 48thth minute, when Espen Steelers's Rogelio Montez fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when David Elodio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Alain Berset left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Espen Steelers fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Result 2-3. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ştefan Lupea in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Andriy Lunin saved SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. from getting behind.
