Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Nils-Emil Blomkvist started the match with the kick off. Glenn Danzig stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zé Paulo da Silva's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. 11 minutes had been played when some careless play by ☠ Metal Militia ☠'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Zé Paulo da Silva was slow to take the kick. During this time Hertha 1969's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Emilio Melzer almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but ☠ Metal Militia ☠'s Glenn Danzig did a great save. Rune Jarstein made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pier Meyer in the 17th minute of play. When ☠ Metal Militia ☠'s Nils-Emil Blomkvist in the 18th minute got a chance for a shot 18th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After a defensive mix-up in ☠ Metal Militia ☠'s zone, Zé Paulo da Silva stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Glenn Danzig came out of the goal and Zé Paulo da Silva tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 23 minutes into the match, ☠ Metal Militia ☠'s goal looked a bit too open when Zé Paulo da Silva came free, but Glenn Danzig reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Glenn Danzig took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gigel Elenescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 26th minute of the match Hertha 1969 got a corner. ☠ Metal Militia ☠'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Zé Paulo da Silva ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of ☠ Metal Militia ☠'s goalie and right to Jörg Hannemann. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. ☠ Metal Militia ☠'s manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. When the match had gone on for 33 minutes, Zé Paulo da Silva put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Glenn Danzig. 39 minutes into the match, ☠ Metal Militia ☠'s goal looked a bit too open when Wilhelm Nienhaus came free, but Glenn Danzig reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 41 minutes into the match, ☠ Metal Militia ☠'s goal looked a bit too open when Wilhelm Nienhaus came free, but Glenn Danzig reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. ☠ Metal Militia ☠'s Glenn Danzig played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilhelm Nienhaus in the 46th minute of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Wilhelm Nienhaus was the one to do the kick off. Zé Paulo da Silva recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 62 minutes into the match, ☠ Metal Militia ☠'s goal looked a bit too open when Wilhelm Nienhaus came free, but Glenn Danzig reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zé Paulo da Silva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. ☠ Metal Militia ☠ made a substitution. Nicko McBrain replaced York Segatz. Hertha 1969's Stefan Mayer was substituted for Lüder Roppel. ☠ Metal Militia ☠'s Doctor Lorenz was substituted for Frank Thorwart. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gigel Elenescu got free with Glenn Danzig in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. ☠ Metal Militia ☠'s Glenn Danzig played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rupert Heidingsfelder in the 79th minute of play. In the 79th minute Rupert Heidingsfelder shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Glenn Danzig saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pier Meyer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Rune Jarstein tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Glenn Danzig stood somewhat misplaced when Zé Paulo da Silva came free in front of goal and shot 0-2 to the left of him in the 84 minute. Glenn Danzig showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jörg Hannemann, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. After 88 minutes ☠ Metal Militia ☠'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Zé Paulo da Silva who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Hertha 1969's corner Zé Paulo da Silva fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Glenn Danzig quite easily take care of the ball. The corner led Hertha 1969's Zé Paulo da Silva to fire away a dangerous shot which Glenn Danzig despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Rune Jarstein showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nils-Emil Blomkvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Hertha 1969 had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
