Equipo's Ismael Furman proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save Equipo from getting a goal against them. Ismael Furman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Unai Sócrates in the 10th minute of play. Javier Aguirre got a throw-in 17 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Mehat Kovaçi. Javier Aguirre got a throw-in 44 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Mehat Kovaçi. If Emiliano Lluterio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After the first half Equipo were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mehat Kovaçi to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Unai Sócrates in the 51st minute of play forced Equipo's goalkeeper Ismael Furman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Radamel Hendrickx made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mehat Kovaçi in the 54th minute of play. Unai Sócrates sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 61 minutes into the game, Mehat Kovaçi recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Radamel Hendrickx. Mehat Kovaçi showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. Equipo's Bruno Beugnet was substituted for Mehat Kovaçi. Unai Sócrates's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ismael Furman read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. Karel Cromefeldt hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Bruno Beugnet's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 91stth minute, Radamel Hendrickx skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The Equipo supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Equipo would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
