Spectators: 37 (Terracing: 29, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Elpidio Francis got the match started through his kick off. Branislav Velchevski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Candido Hendrickx in the 6th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Candido Hendrickx's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Branislav Velchevski was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Candido Hendrickx in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Branislav Velchevski saved ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA from getting behind. After some careless play in the ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA defense, Candido Hendrickx kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Branislav Velchevski. The ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Branislav Velchevski should have stopped the shot. 23 minutes into the match, Candido Hendrickx had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Branislav Velchevski. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Candido Hendrickx was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. In the 35th minute, Bonifacio Suarez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Candido Hendrickx in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Branislav Velchevski saved ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA from getting behind. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Candido Hendrickx to strike the kick off in the second half. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's defense didn't have a chance, in the 52nd minute, when Candido Hendrickx scored to the left of an out of position Branislav Velchevski, making the score, 0-3. Pilar FC's Sixto Luke played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elpidio Francis in the 55th minute of play. Miguel Prosperi hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Pilar FC's Guus Koole was substituted for Cristian Jenaro. After 61 played minutes ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA got a freekick which was hit by Miguel Prosperi. The audience thought a goal was coming when Candido Hendrickx got free with Branislav Velchevski in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 63rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Pilar FC's goalkeeper Sixto Luke, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Branislav Velchevski proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA from getting a goal against them. When the match had gone on for 66 minutes, Candido Hendrickx took a quick shot and it went in 0-4 without a chance for Branislav Velchevski to make any attempt to save it. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's André Monclús was substituted for Elpidio Francis. Pilar FC's Nicanor Illan was substituted for Candido Hendrickx. Branislav Velchevski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicanor Illan in the 91st minute of play. 92 minutes into the match, André Monclús notched a goal, 2-5, to the right of Pilar FC's Sixto Luke. Sixto Luke was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Sixto Luke took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from André Monclús, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Pilar FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Pilar FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
