Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Elpidio Francis made the kick off and thus started the match. Palermo's Alfredo Joey proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to save Palermo from getting a goal against them. Elpidio Francis who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 4thth minute tested the skills of Alfredo Joey when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Alfredo Joey was out of position in the 8 minute of play, and Elpidio Francis capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Elpidio Francis really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Branislav Velchevski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carolo Rozarius in the 13th minute of the match. 15 minutes into the match, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's goal looked a bit too open when Maximino Gonzalez came free, but Branislav Velchevski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Elpidio Francis in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alfredo Joey prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Elpidio Francis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Palermo's Isaias Grove got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Elpidio Francis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alfredo Joey read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. In the 35th minute, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Elpidio Francis ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Alfredo Joey. Alfredo Joey yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Venancio Havier hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Maximino Gonzalez charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Maximino Gonzalez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 39 played minutes Palermo got a freekick which was hit by Maximino Gonzalez. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Miguel Prosperi shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 40th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Alfredo Joey but with some difficulty. Miguel Prosperi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Alfredo Joey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

In the 51st minute Maximino Gonzalez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Branislav Velchevski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 52nd minute, Palermo's Arnoldo Medina dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. After 55 played minutes Palermo got a freekick which was hit by Arkadiusz Glowacki. After a rather tough play, Palermo's Arkadiusz Glowacki got a free kick in the 57th minute. Alfredo Joey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elpidio Francis in the 64th minute of play. In the 70th minute of the match ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA got a corner. Palermo's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Venancio Havier ran over to the corner to take the kick. Rafael Dalmu was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. In the 75th minute Santiago Mino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Branislav Velchevski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marcelino Chaime got free with Branislav Velchevski in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Palermo's Alfredo Joey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elpidio Francis in the 81st minute of play. Alfredo Joey took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elpidio Francis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Palermo made a substitution. Jhonny Del Fierro replaced Arnoldo Medina. After 84 minutes Palermo's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Venancio Havier who took care of the corner kick. Elpidio Francis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alfredo Joey read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. After 92 played minutes Palermo got a freekick which was hit by Maximino Gonzalez. The crowd rose to their feet as Palermo's Jhonny Del Fierro slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Branislav Velchevski. That made the score 3-2 after 95 minutes of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA had won after a very even match.
