The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Dobrin Beremov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Narciso Tano in the 59th minute of play. DARAS made a substitution. Dragan Mangezov replaced Iliya Kasabov. In the 69th minute, Lino Perrando hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The long shot by Nano Mitrashkov in the 70th minute really tested Gavino Orlan's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. When the match had gone on for 72 minutes, Boncho Zhilev put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Gavino Orlan. Hermengildo Bertol fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dobrin Beremov having to interfere. DARAS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gustavo Salamon was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. DARAS's Kuzman Bondzhov was substituted for Kostadin Mazhdrakov. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nedyalko Berberov during the 86th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The DARAS supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing DARAS would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
