Marioara Chiricheş hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. In the 7th minute, Manuel Șora ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mihnea Vizitiu was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Emanuel Stanca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vasile Barbonța, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 11 minutes had been played when some careless play by -BZF- Barca de Buzau's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Marioara Olaru was slow to take the kick. During this time -BZF- Petrolul Berca's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Marioara Olaru almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but -BZF- Barca de Buzau's Emanuel Stanca did a great save. -BZF- Petrolul Berca's Mihnea Vizitiu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manuel Șora in the 16th minute of play. After a rather tough play, -BZF- Barca de Buzau's Darius Olaru got a free kick in the 21st minute. When Adam Trapcea fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored -BZF- Barca de Buzau's protests and gave Adam Trapcea a yellow card for diving instead. In the 21st minute, one of -BZF- Barca de Buzau:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for -BZF- Barca de Buzau. Emanuel Stanca came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by -BZF- Petrolul Berca's Marioara Olaru. But to his dismay, Marioara Olaru quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Liviu Hurmuz kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. 30 minutes into the match, -BZF- Barca de Buzau's Aurel Ionașcu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mihnea Vizitiu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 34th minute, Aurel Ionașcu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Aurel Ionașcu kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. The supporters of -BZF- Barca de Buzau booed when -BZF- Petrolul Berca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marioara Olaru didn't get a good kick on the ball. 41 minutes into the match, -BZF- Petrolul Berca's goal looked a bit too open when Emanuel Movileanu came free, but Mihnea Vizitiu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emanuel Movileanu in the 42nd minute of play forced -BZF- Petrolul Berca's goalkeeper Mihnea Vizitiu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gelu Bădoi to strike the kick off in the second half. Emanuel Stanca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gelu Bădoi in the 51st minute of play. -BZF- Barca de Buzau's Adam Trapcea got his second yellow card of the match in the 52nd minute. The referee ordered Adam Trapcea off the ground. A collision led to -BZF- Barca de Buzau getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Adam Trapcea hit a great ball. 58 minutes into the game, Gelu Bădoi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Emanuel Stanca was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Emanuel Stanca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gelu Bădoi in the 60th minute of play. Mihnea Vizitiu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emanuel Movileanu in the 62nd minute of the match. In the 63rd minute, Grigore Biriș hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 64th minute of the match Marioara Olaru shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Emanuel Stanca showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 67 played minutes -BZF- Barca de Buzau got a freekick which was hit by Aurel Ionașcu. -BZF- Barca de Buzau's Anton Otețea was substituted for Aurel Ionașcu. A collision led to -BZF- Barca de Buzau getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Aurel Ionașcu hit a great ball. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. -BZF- Petrolul Berca were victorious despite being under pressure from -BZF- Barca de Buzau for much of the match.
