Luca Mureșan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Damian Macovei having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Luca Mureșan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Petru Pamfil scored 1-0 in the 55th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Damian Macovei, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Costel Buzgar kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. When Andriy Shevcenko came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the -BZF- Valea Buzăului fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Andriy Shevcenko couldn't finish the play. If Petru Pamfil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leontin Stegaru hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Damian Macovei made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luca Mureșan in the 74th minute of play. 82 minutes into the match, -BZF- Viitorul Buzau's goal looked a bit too open when Iulian Cozaru came free, but Iustinian Purcărete reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, -BZF- Viitorul Buzau's Isac Dichiseanu got a free kick in the 83rd minute. 91 minutes into the match, -BZF- Valea Buzăului's goal looked a bit too open when Luca Mureșan came free, but Damian Macovei reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. -BZF- Viitorul Buzau were awarded a corner in the 93th minute after -BZF- Valea Buzăului's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Traian Muntean took the corner. For all the effort they put into the match, the -BZF- Valea Buzăului players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for -BZF- Viitorul Buzau.
