Evert Pihlgren started the match with the kick off. Rutger Granström kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. When Giga Mønster came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Strömsbro IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Giga Mønster couldn't finish the play. In the 11th minute, David Nyman ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tomas Johnsson was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 14 minutes into the game, Strömsbro IF's Jonatan Gabrielsson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tomas Johnsson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Tomas Johnsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Nyman in the 32nd minute of the match. David Nyman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Tomas Johnsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 37 minutes into the game, Giga Mønster cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Tomas Johnsson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Erling Sigman during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Erling Sigman hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-6 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when David Nyman stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Wolverhampton's Tomas Johnsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Nyman in the 55th minute of play. In the 58th play minute Giga Mønster came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Tomas Johnsson. 0-7. In the 70th minute, Strömsbro IF's David Nyman ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Tomas Johnsson. Tomas Johnsson yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-9. After a rather tough play, Strömsbro IF's David Nyman got a free kick in the 76th minute. David Nyman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Tomas Johnsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Strömsbro IF were awarded a corner in the 80th minute after Wolverhampton's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Kim Wester took the corner. 82 minutes into the game, Strömsbro IF's Jonatan Gabrielsson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tomas Johnsson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-10. 86 minutes into the match, Wolverhampton's goalkeeper Tomas Johnsson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Börge Kristiansson. In the 88th minute, Niklas Ödman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Börge Kristiansson in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tomas Johnsson saved Wolverhampton from getting behind. 94 minutes into the match, Wolverhampton's goal looked a bit too open when Börge Kristiansson came free, but Tomas Johnsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Evert Pihlgren hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. 97 minutes into the match, Börge Kristiansson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tomas Johnsson. Wolverhampton's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Börge Kristiansson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-11. The Wolverhampton fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Strömsbro IF were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
