The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After having played for 5 minutes, Cristi Aaxiniei managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Luck's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristi Aaxiniei was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Niculae Scutaru during the 10th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Manfredo Pinheiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicu Mincu having to interfere. Fabinho de Queiroz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Niculae Scutaru, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. After a rather tough play, FC Luck's Sandu Irimia got a free kick in the 18th minute. Paulo José de Andrade received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Nicu Mincu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 25th match minute, FC Luck was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Narcis Ţipirig to maneuver through the defense. Narcis Ţipirig scored 0-1 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fabinho de Queiroz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Araçá F. When Sandu Irimia was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 62 minutes had been played. A collision led to FC Luck getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Sandu Irimia hit a great ball. In the 64th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Luck's goalkeeper Nicu Mincu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Fabinho de Queiroz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristi Aaxiniei in the 68th minute of play. FC Luck's Cristi Aaxiniei got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. FC Luck's Nicu Mincu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dedê Medeiros in the 74th minute of play. A collision led to Araçá F. C. getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Pedro Palmeira hit a great ball. Araçá F. C. made a substitution. Clóvis Furtado replaced Dedê Medeiros.
