Berry Giles ran back to his position shaking his head. 25 minutes into the match, Araçá F. C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Ambrose Keen came free, but Fabinho de Queiroz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ambrose Keen had several of the Araçá F. C.'s defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 29 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Fabinho de Queiroz as he didn't even see the shot coming. Tomas Donovan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manfredo Pinheiro in the 32nd minute of the match. In the 34th minute Araçá F. C. were awarded a corner. Nilton Negri went to the cornerflag to take it. A well-hit corner resulted in Fiori Nascimento heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. In the 38th minute, Flames FC's Carrol McLean ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Fabinho de Queiroz. Fabinho de Queiroz yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. In the 45th match minute, Araçá F. C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Angelo Luz to maneuver through the defense. Araçá F. C.'s Fabinho de Queiroz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Araçá F. C. from getting a goal against them. Pedro Palmeira hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The supporters of Flames FC booed when Araçá F. C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nilton Negri didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Araçá F. C. defense, Ambrose Keen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fabinho de Queiroz. The Araçá F. C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fabinho de Queiroz should have stopped the shot. The audience was convinced that Ambrose Keen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fabinho de Queiroz was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. C. made a substitution. Clóvis Furtado replaced Dedê Medeiros. 83 minutes into the game, Flames FC's Ambrose Keen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fabinho de Queiroz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-1. Fabinho de Queiroz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carrol McLean in the 87th minute of the match. 91 minutes into the match, Araçá F.
