Calixto Inchaurdi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Enrique Cassaretto in the 7th minute of the match. In the 9th minute of the match CD Municipal got a corner. Peru's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Martino Armona ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Martino Armona got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Calixto Inchaurdi quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Aureliano Buendia kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. 14 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Martino Armona came free, but Calixto Inchaurdi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 16 minutes into the match, CD Municipal's Martino Armona sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Calixto Inchaurdi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Peru's Calixto Inchaurdi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iacob Roman in the 18th minute of play. Enrique Cassaretto succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 26th playminute. Calixto Inchaurdi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enrique Cassaretto in the 32nd minute of play. A sloppy throw-in by Aureliano Buendia in the 39th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Peru's Albert Camus. In the 41st minute of the game Aureliano Buendia made a throw-in which Martino Armona played forward. Leonardo Colmenares hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match.

The wind increased when Enrique Cassaretto made the kick off in the second half. George Forsyth showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Enrique Cassaretto in the 51st minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Enrique Cassaretto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Calixto Inchaurdi was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. Peru's Herensuge Colomes managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Yunus Mahşer in the 54 minute of the game. CD Municipal's Oalo Dean was substituted for Enrique Cassaretto. CD Municipal's Peter Haber was substituted for Zlatan Molina. Federico Puja received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Calixto Inchaurdi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 73 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Ryota Miyagi came free, but Calixto Inchaurdi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. George Forsyth took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jorrin Briones, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of CD Municipal booed when Peru was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Constantino Dean didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Oalo Dean in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Calixto Inchaurdi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 84 minutes into the match, Ryota Miyagi notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Peru's Calixto Inchaurdi. Calixto Inchaurdi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With an all-out effort, CD Municipal's Calixto Inchaurdi threw himself towards the right post 88 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ryota Miyagi, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Calixto Inchaurdi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ryota Miyagi in the 91st minute. George Forsyth stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jorrin Briones's shot from short distance in the 96th minute. CD Municipal were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
