With a left leg Charles Hughes saved Åstäppa FK from getting behind. 6 minutes into the match, Åstäppa FK's goal looked a bit too open when Remy Dupuy came free, but Charles Hughes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 7th match minute, Åstäppa FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Czeslaw Czajkowski to maneuver through the defense. Charles Hughes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frank Peletier in the 9th minute of play. A collision led to Åstäppa FK getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Per-Arne Alströmer hit a great ball. 10 minutes into the match, Åstäppa FK's goal looked a bit too open when Frank Peletier came free, but Charles Hughes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Maxime Durand made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Czeslaw Czajkowski sent off a good shot on target. The corner went over the outstretched arms of France's goalie and right to Czeslaw Czajkowski. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. France's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Frank Peletier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Charles Hughes having to interfere. A collision led to Åstäppa FK getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Joe Gort hit a great ball. David Barbier took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 22nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Charles Hughes. Åstäppa FK's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Joe Gort hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Charles Hughes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frank Peletier, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. After a defensive mix-up in France's zone, Czeslaw Czajkowski stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Maxime Durand came out of the goal and Czeslaw Czajkowski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The attack was good, but when Frank Peletier in the 29th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Robert Chapuis hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. After 33 minutes of play, Åstäppa FK's Uno Lundkvist made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Maxime Durand was left in no man's land by his defense there! Alexis Bruneau charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alexis Bruneau the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to France getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Alexis Bruneau hit a great ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Frank Peletier made the kick off in the second half. Maxime Durand took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Czeslaw Czajkowski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 54th minute Peter Örtendal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maxime Durand saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 54 minutes into the match, Peter Örtendal had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Maxime Durand. France's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Peter Örtendal was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Frank Peletier's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 58thth minute, Charles Hughes skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 67 minutes into the match, France's goal looked a bit too open when Peter Örtendal came free, but Maxime Durand reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A well-hit corner resulted in Oliver Apelqvist heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Remy Dupuy hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. 76 minutes into the match, Åstäppa FK's goalkeeper Charles Hughes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Frank Peletier. When the match clock showed 80 minutes, the score became 4-0 when Czeslaw Czajkowski sped through France's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Maxime Durand. In the 83rdth minute of the game Czeslaw Czajkowski who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but France's Maxime Durand was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Charles Hughes was a little too slow when Frank Peletier got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 84th minute. The score was now 4-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Czeslaw Czajkowski in the 87th minute of play forced France's goalkeeper Maxime Durand to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 90 minutes into the match, Czeslaw Czajkowski had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Maxime Durand. France's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Czeslaw Czajkowski was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-1. Åstäppa FK's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
