Dino Nicolini could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Vykan Víkingsson made a huge save. In the 12th minute of the match Montalcino SE got a corner. Wellington Phoenix's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Leonardo de Godoi ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Perivaldo Paiva almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Wellington Phoenix's Vykan Víkingsson did a great save. Wellington Phoenix's Vykan Víkingsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicolas Espiridion in the 14th minute of play. 16 minutes into the match, Wellington Phoenix's goalkeeper Vykan Víkingsson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Modesto Atarratze. Through an outstanding action, after 22 minutes, Vykan Víkingsson successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicolas Espiridion in the 23rd minute of play forced Wellington Phoenix's goalkeeper Vykan Víkingsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Perivaldo Paiva could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Vykan Víkingsson made a huge save. In the 27th minute, Sandro Trigo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 28th minute, Nicolas Espiridion reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Vykan Víkingsson. The goal made the score 2-0. Vykan Víkingsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isaltino Figueiredo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Valdomiro Ferraz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 詹俊 á Bø in the 36th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nicolas Espiridion to make the kick off. Montalcino SE were awarded a corner in the 53th minute after Wellington Phoenix's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Leonardo de Godoi took the corner. 詹俊 á Bø could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Valdomiro Ferraz made a huge save. 詹俊 á Bø's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Valdomiro Ferraz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. The audience was convinced that 詹俊 á Bø's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Valdomiro Ferraz was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. In the 70th minute, Modesto Atarratze left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Montalcino SE fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicolas Espiridion in the 75th minute of play forced Wellington Phoenix's goalkeeper Vykan Víkingsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 詹俊 á Bø struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Valdomiro Ferraz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Wellington Phoenix. Montalcino SE's Benedykt Klewinski was substituted for Perivaldo Paiva. In the 81st match minute, Montalcino SE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonardo de Godoi to maneuver through the defense. Nicolas Espiridion took the ball and in the 83 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vykan Víkingsson. Vykan Víkingsson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. Valdomiro Ferraz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 詹俊 á Bø, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. After 96 minutes Montalcino SE's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jaume Roure who took care of the corner kick. When the referee ended the match the Montalcino SE players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
