The audience thought a goal was coming when Albino Feliu got free with Vykan Víkingsson in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 12 minutes into the match, Mercedes's goal looked a bit too open when 詹俊 á Bø came free, but Augusto Ellande reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling 詹俊 á Bø in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Augusto Ellande prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Vykan Víkingsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albino Feliu in the 17th minute of play. In the 24th minute Luiz Fernando Tróia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Augusto Ellande saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wellington Phoenix's Luis Mikolas was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Augusto Ellande in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. With an all-out effort, Mercedes's Vykan Víkingsson threw himself towards the right post 27 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Manuel Morais, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Augusto Ellande made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tadeu Zonta in the 31st minute of play. Teodosio Eutor lost his temper 35 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. 34 minutes into the game, one of Mercedes:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Augusto Ellande had in the 36thth minute some difficulties stopping 詹俊 á Bø's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by 詹俊 á Bø in the 40th minute of play forced Mercedes's goalkeeper Augusto Ellande to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Manuel Morais kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Augusto Ellande took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tadeu Zonta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tadeu Zonta's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Augusto Ellande read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. Vykan Víkingsson came out of the goal in the 94th minute to try and stop a shot by Mercedes's Honorato Kauldi. But to his dismay, Honorato Kauldi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Mercedes's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
