FC Barcelona's Vitório Goiano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save FC Barcelona from getting a goal against them. Jagiellonia Denver were awarded a corner in the 39th minute after FC Barcelona's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Sun Lin took the corner. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Nicolae Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Vitório Goiano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vitório Goiano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 蔡伟洲 in the 66th minute of play. A collision led to FC Barcelona getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Piet Feer hit a great ball. In the 69th match minute, FC Barcelona was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Piet Feer to maneuver through the defense. An unexpected shot in the 71st minute by Ignacio Barbosa got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 75 minutes into the match, FC Barcelona's goal looked a bit too open when 蔡伟洲 came free, but Vitório Goiano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jagiellonia Denver's 蔡伟洲 got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 85 minutes into the game, Michele Straub was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Barcelona's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Jagiellonia Denver the free kick. A collision led to FC Barcelona getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Michele Straub hit a great ball. When Jagiellonia Denver's 蔡伟洲 in the 92nd minute got a chance for a shot 92nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC Barcelona's goalie prevented a goal. In the 94th minute, 蔡伟洲 got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Jagiellonia Denver fully deserved thier win.
