When CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ's Afonso da Cunha in the 13th minute got a chance for a shot 13th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Wellington Phoenix's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Afonso da Cunha in the 21st minute of play forced Wellington Phoenix's goalkeeper Vykan Víkingsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ fans' excitement grew in the 24th match minute when CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ's Afonso da Cunha looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Vykan Víkingsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Afonso da Cunha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Afonso da Cunha in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vykan Víkingsson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some careless play in the Wellington Phoenix defense, Afonso da Cunha kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vykan Víkingsson. The Wellington Phoenix fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vykan Víkingsson should have stopped the shot. In the 42nd minute Afonso da Cunha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vykan Víkingsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teofilo Unai in the 44th minute of play forced CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ's goalkeeper Ludomil Ziomkowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 45 minutes into the match, CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ's goalkeeper Ludomil Ziomkowski had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by 詹俊 á Bø. 47 minutes into the match, Wellington Phoenix's goal looked a bit too open when Afonso da Cunha came free, but Vykan Víkingsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vykan Víkingsson came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ's Afonso da Cunha. But to his dismay, Afonso da Cunha quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for 詹俊 á Bø to strike the kick off in the second half. Ludomil Ziomkowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teofilo Unai in the 54th minute of play. In the 61st minute, Gabriel Magalhães hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ made a substitution. Rambo von Buol-Schaudenstein replaced Ulryk Huk. After a rather tough play, Wellington Phoenix's Gabriel Magalhães got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Vykan Víkingsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rambo von Buol-Schaudenstein in the 64th minute of play. In the 65th minute 詹俊 á Bø shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ludomil Ziomkowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Breno Torres replaced Afonso da Cunha. In the 77th minute, Xande Campbell ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vykan Víkingsson was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. Wellington Phoenix's Vykan Víkingsson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Wellington Phoenix from getting a goal against them. 83 minutes into the match, 詹俊 á Bø notched a goal, 1-5, to the right of CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ's Ludomil Ziomkowski. Ludomil Ziomkowski was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 86th minute, CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ's Rambo von Buol-Schaudenstein dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-6. With a little luck, Wellington Phoenix's Vykan Víkingsson got control of the ball when Breno Torres tried to sneak it across the goal line. 90 minutes into the match, Rambo von Buol-Schaudenstein had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vykan Víkingsson. Wellington Phoenix's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rambo von Buol-Schaudenstein was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-7. CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
