An unexpectedly hard shot by Karol Panasewicz in the 26th minute of play forced Copérnico F.C.'s goalkeeper Amadeo Rainerio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half Blue Mountain State were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Paolo Kinsen to make the kick off. After 54 played minutes Copérnico F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Reynaldo Tristan. Karol Panasewicz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Amadeo Rainerio having to make a save. Karol Panasewicz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Amadeo Rainerio made a huge save. George Popescu replaced Gökcan Bergin. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 67th minute, but Amadeo Rainerio got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Copérnico F.C. hanging dry this time. The throw-in from Reynaldo Tristan in the 69th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Blue Mountain State's Herensuge Colomes. Lionel-Andrés Messi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Amadeo Rainerio having to make a save. Amadeo Rainerio was a little too slow when Lionel-Andrés Messi got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 71st minute. The score was now 0-6. In the 76th minute, Blue Mountain State's Lionel-Andrés Messi ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Amadeo Rainerio. Amadeo Rainerio yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-7. Lionel-Andrés Messi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 79 minutes into the match, Copérnico F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Lionel-Andrés Messi came free, but Amadeo Rainerio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Blue Mountain State's attentive Herensuge Colomes managed to snatch the ball when Reynaldo Tristan made a throw-in in the 84th minute of the game. Emanuel Garin hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. In the 92nd minute, Aykut Aşkın left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Blue Mountain State fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-9. Reynaldo Tristan made in the 94th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Blue Mountain State's Herensuge Colomes. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Lionel-Andrés Messi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Blue Mountain State's supporters rose to their feet, but Lionel-Andrés Messi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. When the match was over Blue Mountain State could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Copérnico F.C. throughout the match.
