A throw-in in the 11th minute of the game was made by Olle Björn with Ove Salkvist as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Lorencio Irarrázaval made in the 14th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Ove Salkvist. The throw-in from Niculae Buznea in the 15th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by BK Gubbhöft's Brian Alströmmer. Karol Panasewicz might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Isaac Jonasson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Karol Panasewicz ran back to his position shaking his head. Isaac Jonasson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Karol Panasewicz in the 24th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Blue Mountain State defense, Ove Salkvist kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Robin Sharma. The Blue Mountain State fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Robin Sharma should have stopped the shot. A sloppy throw-in by Olle Björn in the 34th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Blue Mountain State's Niculae Buznea. Per Söderberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robin Sharma having to interfere. 42 minutes into the game, Blue Mountain State's Karol Panasewicz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Isaac Jonasson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Karol Panasewicz to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in BK Gubbhöft's zone, Karol Panasewicz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Isaac Jonasson came out of the goal and Karol Panasewicz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Brian Alströmmer got a throw-in 59 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Victor Blue. In the 63rd minute Victor Blue shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robin Sharma saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Victor Blue came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the BK Gubbhöft fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Victor Blue couldn't finish the play. 80 minutes into the game, BK Gubbhöft's Lorencio Irarrázaval nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Robin Sharma made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. If Jonas Ahlin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ricardo Kaká might have been able to make a better finish in the 85th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Isaac Jonasson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ricardo Kaká ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ricardo Kaká in the 85th minute of play forced BK Gubbhöft's goalkeeper Isaac Jonasson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When BK Gubbhöft's Victor Blue in the 86th minute got a chance for a shot 86th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Blue Mountain State's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
