Gijsbert ter Kruimer blasted a shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Wiliam Prado having to make a save. Wiliam Prado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 24th minute of the match. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gijsbert ter Kruimer to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silvério Fernandez in the 53rd minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. João Augusto Mineiro hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. The supporters of Netherlands booed when Athletis PR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Augusto Mineiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Athletis PR's Breno Marquez was substituted for Nafarroa Hormeño. Wim Wilmes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wiliam Prado having to interfere.
