With a little luck, Granate's Donato Lorenz got control of the ball when Adamantios Geronimidis tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Adamantios Geronimidis got free with Donato Lorenz in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 8th minute of the match Granate got a corner. C.A. LANUS's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Usko Ruuttu ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Granate's corner Usko Ruuttu fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Cristian Mergildo quite easily take care of the ball. Donato Lorenz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pang Xing Lang, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Adamantios Geronimidis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Donato Lorenz made a huge save. Luisito Estevon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristian Mergildo having to interfere. With a little luck, Granate's Donato Lorenz got control of the ball when Levente Végh tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 25th minute of the match, Adamantios Geronimidis got a very nice opportunity to score, but Donato Lorenz was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. C.A. LANUS's Cristian Mergildo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jaakko Ramstadius in the 29th minute of play. Adamantios Geronimidis made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 31stth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Donato Lorenz would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. LANUS's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Atilano Tonio in the 33rd minute. Per-Åke Saâdallah made a great header on C.A. LANUS's corner, it was just that Granate's Donato Lorenz managed to reach the ball for a save. Donato Lorenz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Atilano Tonio in the 38th minute of play. Donato Lorenz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adamantios Geronimidis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Granate's Donato Lorenz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Granate from getting a goal against them. In the 48th minute Pang Xing Lang shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donato Lorenz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
Granate made a substitution. Sebastian Dominic replaced Jonatan Adrio. Cristian Mergildo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christos Triantafyllou in the 53rd minute of the match. The supporters of C.A. LANUS booed when Granate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Syaiful Abidin didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, C.A. LANUS's Adamantios Geronimidis got a free kick in the 56th minute. A collision led to Granate getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Usko Ruuttu hit a great ball. In the 60th minute Adamantios Geronimidis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donato Lorenz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 62 minutes, Adamantios Geronimidis made it 3-1 with a short kick to the right side. Granate's Donato Lorenz tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Donato Lorenz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Levente Végh in the 67th minute of play. In the 74th minute, Adamantios Geronimidis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The C.A. LANUS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. C.A. LANUS's Cristian Mergildo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jaakko Ramstadius in the 78th minute of play. Donato Lorenz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Levente Végh in the 79th minute of play. In the 81st minute Levente Végh shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donato Lorenz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Elvis Crespo in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Donato Lorenz saved Granate from getting behind. In the 85thth minute of the game Elvis Crespo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Granate's Donato Lorenz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 87th minute, Granate's Christos Triantafyllou ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Cristian Mergildo. Cristian Mergildo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-2. 92 minutes into the match, Adamantios Geronimidis notched a goal, 5-2, to the right of Granate's Donato Lorenz. Donato Lorenz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 96th minute Adamantios Geronimidis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donato Lorenz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Granate's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
