LANUS's Adamantios Geronimidis got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Torcato Modesto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Everardo Gaizko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Saturnino Naike kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. In the 25th match minute, Club Atletico Lanus was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arnulfo Acuña to maneuver through the defense. In the 27th minute Adamantios Geronimidis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Torcato Modesto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 29 minutes into the game, Adamantios Geronimidis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1.
