After a rather tough play, Bacardi FC's Boruc Wykowski got a free kick in the 7th minute. With an all-out effort, Bacardi FC's Carlos Goyeneta threw himself towards the right post 9 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Roni Coryn, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 15 minutes into the match, Bacardi FC's goal looked a bit too open when Geronimo Berenguer came free, but Leo Dauwen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Taco Huizinga in the 17th minute of play forced Bacardi FC's goalkeeper Leo Dauwen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fabiano Di Vincenzo took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Leo Dauwen. Leo Dauwen dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Gaviotas FC's Carlos Goyeneta proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Gaviotas FC from getting a goal against them. Roni Coryn recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fabiano Di Vincenzo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Carlos Goyeneta stood somewhat misplaced when Roni Coryn came free in front of goal and shot 1-1 to the left of him in the 47 minute.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Roni Coryn stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Niceto Galtero's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Leo Dauwen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. In the 53rd minute Gaviotas FC were awarded a corner. Inocencio Patxi went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Inocencio Patxi almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Bacardi FC's Leo Dauwen did a great save. Gaviotas FC's Enzo Julian was substituted for Taco Huizinga. Leo Dauwen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabiano Di Vincenzo, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Carlos Goyeneta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bob Leerbels, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. In the 95th minute Clemente Claude shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leo Dauwen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Clemente Claude didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 1-2 via right post in the game's 95th minute. Gaviotas FC's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Gaviotas FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
