After a defensive mix-up in Gnaget AIK's zone, Ignacio Barbosa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sven-Åke Springfält came out of the goal and Ignacio Barbosa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match had gone on for 18 minutes, Herbert Lång took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Vitório Goiano to make any attempt to save it. Herbert Lång received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Vitório Goiano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vitório Goiano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stig-Åke Wall in the 26th minute of play. In the 27thth minute of the game Stig-Åke Wall who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Barcelona's Vitório Goiano was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stig-Åke Wall in the 31st minute of play forced FC Barcelona's goalkeeper Vitório Goiano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 32nd minute Gnaget AIK were awarded a corner. Martin Višňovský went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led to Gnaget AIK's Erling Odén getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. When Erling Odén fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gnaget AIK's protests and gave Erling Odén a yellow card for diving instead. After 32 played minutes Gnaget AIK got a freekick which was hit by Erling Odén. Carlos Laderoute might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sven-Åke Springfält. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Carlos Laderoute ran back to his position shaking his head. After 46 played minutes FC Barcelona got a freekick which was hit by Ignacio Barbosa. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ignacio Barbosa was the one to do the kick off. Sven-Åke Springfält showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ignacio Barbosa, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Denílson Ronaldinho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Stig-Åke Wall in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vitório Goiano saved FC Barcelona from getting behind. Martin Višňovský, 58 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Carlos Laderoute during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Carlos Laderoute hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. 64 minutes into the match, FC Barcelona's goal looked a bit too open when Stig-Åke Wall came free, but Vitório Goiano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Stig-Åke Wall in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vitório Goiano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gnaget AIK's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Martin Višňovský in the 68th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Gnaget AIK's zone, Elroy Kolb stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sven-Åke Springfält came out of the goal and Elroy Kolb tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Stig-Åke Wall in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vitório Goiano saved FC Barcelona from getting behind. Gnaget AIK's Alvin Carlsson was substituted for Herbert Lång. Piet Feer hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Vitório Goiano didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Stig-Åke Wall went, in the 81st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Stig-Åke Wall in the 84th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vitório Goiano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Stig-Åke Wall's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vitório Goiano was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. In the 88th minute Stig-Åke Wall shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vitório Goiano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Viktor Eliasson hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Stig-Åke Wall in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vitório Goiano saved FC Barcelona from getting behind. There was no doubt that Gnaget AIK were the better team. Gnaget AIK's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
