Thiago Machado made in the 9th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Oliver Petersson immediately put the ball in play. Jonas Chorache showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oliver Petersson, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Rebelution's Oliver Petersson got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 23rd minute Oliver Petersson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonas Chorache saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 25th minute, Thiago Machado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Agustín Rossi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carolo Stephen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Oliver Petersson struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Jonas Chorache didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rebelution. Rebelution's Agustín Rossi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benjamin Milio in the 34th minute of play. In the 37th minute, Carolo Stephen left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ♦Diabetes♦ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Anthon Odén hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
The wind increased when Oliver Petersson made the kick off in the second half. Agustín Rossi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Carolo Stephen's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. After a rather tough play, Rebelution's Frank Teixeira got a free kick in the 95th minute. Cristiano Ronaldinho ran back to his position shaking his head. Agustín Rossi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristiano Ronaldinho in the 98th minute of the match. Rebelution's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
