In the 10th minute, Oliver Petersson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience was convinced that Benny Niva's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Agustín Rossi was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. Agustín Rossi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benny Niva in the 16th minute of the match. Zacarias Ascencio made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Oliver Petersson sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oliver Petersson in the 24th minute of play forced Celta de Virgos's goalkeeper Zacarias Ascencio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Oliver Petersson struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Zacarias Ascencio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rebelution. In the 28th minute Benny Niva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Agustín Rossi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 32 minutes into the game, Benny Niva cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Agustín Rossi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Dündar Aynacıoğlu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Agustín Rossi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. Rebelution were awarded a corner in the 38th minute after Celta de Virgos's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Americo Frascuelo took the corner. After taking down the ball on Rebelution's corner Americo Frascuelo fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Zacarias Ascencio quite easily take care of the ball. After 46 played minutes Celta de Virgos got a freekick which was hit by Christos Skondras. 47 minutes into the match, Celta de Virgos's goal looked a bit too open when Oliver Petersson came free, but Zacarias Ascencio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 49th minute Rebelution were awarded a corner. Americo Frascuelo went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Rebelution's Americo Frascuelo to fire away a dangerous shot which Zacarias Ascencio despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Benny Niva to make the kick off. Zacarias Ascencio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oliver Petersson in the 57th minute of play. Celta de Virgos's Dario Elivareo was substituted for Ruben Gomez. Celta de Virgos's Filip Leucuța was substituted for Biagio Pavlu. Oliver Petersson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 70th minute, Celta de Virgos's David Astudillo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-2. Rebelution made a substitution. Mihály Medgyesi replaced Luisito Tiniebra. Rebelution made a substitution. Rodolfo Indartsu replaced Chiquito Flores. Rebelution's Dario Guib was substituted for Americo Frascuelo. Celta de Virgos's Zacarias Ascencio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oliver Petersson in the 75th minute of play. When Celta de Virgos's David Astudillo in the 76th minute got a chance for a shot 76th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Rebelution's goalie prevented a goal. In the 84th minute of the game Leandro Mattin made a throw-in which Mihály Medgyesi played forward. In the 87th minute, Leandro Mattin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 90 minutes Celta de Virgos's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Mihály Medgyesi who took care of the corner kick. The supporters of Celta de Virgos booed when Rebelution was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leandro Mattin didn't get a good kick on the ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Celta de Virgos walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
