In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Croatia's goalkeeper Ilija Skugor, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Sal Barquin kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. 30 minutes into the match, Croatia's goal looked a bit too open when Guillelmus Lopez came free, but Ilija Skugor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 34 minutes into the game, Guillelmus Lopez recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ilija Skugor. Guillelmus Lopez showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. If Guillelmus Lopez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Martin Bosak in the 47th minute of play forced Malevo Mafia's goalkeeper Narciso Penagos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Malevo Mafia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Guillelmus Lopez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Agustin Checa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ilija Skugor having to interfere. After some careless play in the Croatia defense, Guillelmus Lopez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ilija Skugor. The Croatia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ilija Skugor should have stopped the shot. In the 71st match minute, Malevo Mafia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anton Munet to maneuver through the defense. Guillelmus Lopez might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ilija Skugor. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Guillelmus Lopez ran back to his position shaking his head. 78 minutes into the match, Croatia's goal looked a bit too open when Guillelmus Lopez came free, but Ilija Skugor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Teo Gudelj kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Guillelmus Lopez kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Ilija Skugor breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Malevo Mafia fully deserved thier win.
