If David Eikelkamp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valer Baltian in the 16th minute of play. F.C Petru B.U.C's Lucian Popeneciu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 18th minute of play. In the 19th minute Netherlands were awarded a corner. Gijsbert ter Kruimer went to the cornerflag to take it. A very nice done corner allowed Egbert Nijveldt to score against Lucian Popeneciu in F.C Petru B.U.C's goal. 0-1 after 19 minutes. In the 25th minute, one of F.C Petru B.U.C:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for F.C Petru B.U.C. F.C Petru B.U.C:s Lucian Popeneciu showed great skill when he stopped Gijsbert ter Kruimer:s penalty. 26 minutes into the match, Gijsbert ter Kruimer had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lucian Popeneciu. F.C Petru B.U.C's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gijsbert ter Kruimer was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. 32 minutes into the game, Cezar Mascovescu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Arnout Reekers was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Netherlands's Egbert Nijveldt got a free kick in the 37th minute. Arnout Reekers made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cezar Mascovescu in the 38th minute. In the 40th minute, F.C Petru B.U.C's Matei Blejan ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Arnout Reekers. Arnout Reekers yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 43rd minute of play forced F.C Petru B.U.C's goalkeeper Lucian Popeneciu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lucian Popeneciu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute.

Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 汪迅峰 in the 50th minute of play. With an all-out effort, Netherlands's Lucian Popeneciu threw himself towards the right post 54 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Gijsbert ter Kruimer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucian Popeneciu having to interfere. Wim Wilmes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Lucian Popeneciu made a huge save. After a rather tough play, F.C Petru B.U.C's Horia Vuia got a free kick in the 58th minute. Lucian Popeneciu made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Gustaaf Groeneveldt sent off a good shot on target. Wim Wilmes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lucian Popeneciu having to make a save. Gustaaf Groeneveldt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Lucian Popeneciu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With an all-out effort, Netherlands's Lucian Popeneciu threw himself towards the right post 68 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Netherlands's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 70th minute. After taking down the ball on Netherlands's corner Egbert Nijveldt fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Lucian Popeneciu quite easily take care of the ball. Gustaaf Groeneveldt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Lucian Popeneciu made a huge save. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valer Baltian, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mugur Cotuțiu kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Gijsbert ter Kruimer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucian Popeneciu having to interfere. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cezar Mascovescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in F.C Petru B.U.C's zone, Gustaaf Groeneveldt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lucian Popeneciu came out of the goal and Gustaaf Groeneveldt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
