Gaviotas FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rodolfo Ursino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Crystal Phallus's zone, Baldomiro Oliverios stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dom Butler came out of the goal and Baldomiro Oliverios tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 26 minutes, Barry Clifford mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Crystal Phallus and the Gaviotas FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Damian Rufo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Dom Butler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dom Butler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baldomiro Oliverios, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. 34 minutes into the match, Crystal Phallus's goal looked a bit too open when Rodolfo Ursino came free, but Dom Butler reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 34th minute, Dave Sutherland hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Stuart Thomas was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 41 minutes had been played. Stuart Thomas hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodolfo Ursino in the 47th minute of play forced Crystal Phallus's goalkeeper Dom Butler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half Gaviotas FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Baldomiro Oliverios made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Baldomiro Oliverios got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dom Butler made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Baldomiro Oliverios sent off a good shot on target. In the 91st minute, Esteve Naelio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 96th minute, Lino Elivareo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
