The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The referee ignored Crystal Phallus's protests and gave Jeremy Patterson a yellow card for diving instead. Gaviotas FC were awarded a corner in the 21th minute after Crystal Phallus's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gaston Gudesteo took the corner. A collision led to Gaviotas FC getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Elias Ursino hit a great ball. After 30 played minutes Crystal Phallus got a freekick which was hit by Chris Tyrell. Jaime Jerico recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Gaviotas FC's Baldomiro Oliverios in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Crystal Phallus's goalie prevented a goal. Chris Tyrell charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Chris Tyrell the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Gaviotas FC booed when Crystal Phallus was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chris Tyrell didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jaime Jerico made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 34thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Vince Bannatyne would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. Gaston Gudesteo kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Sebastian Gimenez kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Albert King made a kick off. A hard shot 57 in the game by Albert King from a close distance when the talented Pedro Asur managed to make a qualified save. Gaviotas FC's players were relieved. A collision led to Gaviotas FC getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Baldomiro Oliverios hit a great ball. Gaviotas FC's Patricio Oriol was substituted for Elias Ursino. In the 64th minute, Baldomiro Oliverios hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 67thth minute of the game Albert King who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gaviotas FC's Pedro Asur was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Vince Bannatyne showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sebastian Gimenez in the 69th minute of the match. When the match clock showed 69 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Sebastian Gimenez sped through Crystal Phallus's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Vince Bannatyne. A collision led to Crystal Phallus getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Chris Tyrell hit a great ball. Crystal Phallus's Dave Sutherland got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gregorio Frans made in the 96th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Isidro Vimaro immediately put the ball in play. Gaviotas FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
