Ingvar Kvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jaime Jerico in the 31st minute of the match. When Fabricio Jakobe fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gaviotas FC's protests and gave Fabricio Jakobe a yellow card for diving instead. Fabricio Jakobe hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Ingvar Kvist stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Baldomiro Oliverios's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. After the first half Gaviotas FC were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
