An unexpectedly hard shot by Samuele Kunz in the 8th minute of play forced Sinchyteam's goalkeeper Nuno de Alcântara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Jacinto Maurer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jacinto Maurer hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Luciano Piearres struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Hias Nüssli didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sinchyteam. 29 minutes into the match, Switzerland's Samuele Kunz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nuno de Alcântara narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Nuno de Alcântara took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Samuele Kunz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Sinchyteam's Fabio Lehior got a free kick in the 35th minute. Nuno de Alcântara stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Samuele Kunz's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. In the 41st minute Jacinto Maurer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nuno de Alcântara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fabio Lehior blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hias Nüssli having to make a save. Timo Siegmund hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Clemente Hulberto during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 59 played minutes Sinchyteam got a freekick which was hit by Elvio Dunixi. With a little luck, Sinchyteam's Nuno de Alcântara got control of the ball when Samuele Kunz tried to sneak it across the goal line. 68 minutes into the game, Switzerland's Jacinto Maurer nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nuno de Alcântara made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Switzerland's Timo Siegmund managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Ramiro Felipo in the 72 minute of the game. Switzerland's Hias Nüssli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabio Lehior in the 73rd minute of play. Nuno de Alcântara made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Samuele Kunz sent off a good shot on target. Jacinto Maurer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nuno de Alcântara having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Sinchyteam's Clemente Hulberto got a free kick in the 81st minute. A collision led to Sinchyteam getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Fabio Lehior hit a great ball. Nuno de Alcântara made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Rodrigo von Känel sent off a good shot on target. In the 87th minute, Rodrigo von Känel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 92 minutes into the match, Switzerland's goal looked a bit too open when Luciano Piearres came free, but Hias Nüssli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Switzerland's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
