In the 5th minute, Blågula BollAtleter's Paul Theissen dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. After 9 minutes, Willy Stieler mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Germany and the Blågula BollAtleter players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Germany getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Willy Stieler hit a great ball. Tom Vandendriessche didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Frank Sachs went, in the 12th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. 16 minutes into the game, Germany's Frank Sachs nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tom Vandendriessche made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. In the 21st match minute, Blågula BollAtleter was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Allan Larsson to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Germany's Tommy Kahn got control of the ball when Paul Theissen tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Germany booed when Blågula BollAtleter was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Allan Larsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot 33 in the game by Paul Theissen from a close distance when the talented Tommy Kahn managed to make a qualified save. Germany's players were relieved. Paul Theissens short, quick shot in the 34thth minute got Tommy Kahn to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Paul Theissen in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tommy Kahn saved Germany from getting behind. A collision led to Germany getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Adrian Dreifuss hit a great ball. When Paul Theissen came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Blågula BollAtleter fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paul Theissen couldn't finish the play. Tommy Kahn was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Paul Theissen showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-3 in the 44 minute of play. In the 47th minute, Paul Theissen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 2-3.
After 51 played minutes Germany got a freekick which was hit by Albin Holweck. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paul Theissen in the 51st minute of play forced Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Blågula BollAtleter's Henry Bergkvist got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Frank Sachs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tommy Kahn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paul Theissen in the 58th minute of play. Roger Grep took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tommy Kahn. Tommy Kahn dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-3. The audience was convinced that Paul Theissen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tommy Kahn was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. Blågula BollAtleter's Tom Vandendriessche proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save Blågula BollAtleter from getting a goal against them. In the 72nd minute of the match Germany got a corner. Blågula BollAtleter's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Frank Sachs ran over to the corner to take the kick. Adrian Dreifuss was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. In the 76th match minute, Germany was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Albin Holweck to maneuver through the defense. If Henry Bergkvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Frank Sachs could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Tom Vandendriessche made a huge save. Albin Holweck received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Tom Vandendriessche came out and tried to block the shot, but Albin Holweck slotted it home off the left post making it 3-4 in the 92nd minute. Albin Holweck received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Tom Vandendriessche tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Germany were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Blågula BollAtleter's much stronger midfield.
